Before the fandom comes for me: Katseye: Wild Hearts was made with the group’s own record labels, so nobody here gets grilled. It’s an 80-minute scrapbook of sit-down interviews and backstage footage, following the six members from their debut to right now. The most interesting stretch covers how the internet first reacted to Gnarly, which is a fun swerve for a fan film. Manon’s break from the group is covered too, and the 2026 Grammy nominations get their moment. Director Nadia Hallgren keeps it moving, and fans will love the time with Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae. Everyone else may find it polished and safe. It made $6.96 million worldwide. A 5.2 because it’s a sweet gift for the fandom and a thin movie for anyone outside it. $9.39 says you look up the Gnarly video afterward and play it twice before admitting you kinda get it now.
What works: Fans get plenty of time with all six members, plus a look back at how the internet first reacted to Gnarly.
What doesn’t: Made with the group’s own labels, it plays polished and safe, more scrapbook than honest portrait.
Who it’s for: Katseye fans who already know every member’s birthday by heart.
There’s no twist. The film follows the group from their debut right up to the present, so it closes on a band still in the middle of its story rather than at a finish line.
Katseye are a global girl group: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza and Yoonchae Jeung. This documentary from director Nadia Hallgren follows them from debut day to right now, with sit-down interviews and backstage footage. It covers their 2026 Grammy nominations, how the internet first reacted to 'Gnarly', and Manon's break from the group, which started in February 2026. It was made with their labels, Hybe and Geffen, and arrives right before their EP Wild. Eighty minutes, six members, one very loud fandom.
