Super Troopers 3 (2026)

Super Troopers 3 plays like a wedding video shot by five old friends, and like most wedding videos, it’s way more fun for the people in it than for you. The setup is pure sitcom. Farva, the Vermont barracks’ loudest problem, is marrying Thorny’s sister Sarita, and Thorny spends the movie trying to prove to his parents that the groom is bad news. Farva, annoyingly, charms them anyway. There’s also a new case at the station and a new electric car that talks, voiced by Will Sasso. The plot is lazy, the gags are hit or miss, and long stretches feel like the guys goofing around between takes. But the goofing around is the charm. The Broken Lizard crew clearly still loves each other, and Kevin Heffernan’s Farva is as gloriously obnoxious as ever. It made $7.4 million at the domestic box office. A 3.8 because the hangout works and the comedy coasts. $2,156 says a buddy announces an engagement this year and you silently run a full Thorny-style background check on the fiancé.

What works: The Broken Lizard crew’s easy chemistry is still there, and watching them bicker like old friends is genuinely pleasant.

What doesn’t: The plot is lazy and the gags are hit or miss, so long stretches feel like outtakes from a much better reunion.

Who it’s for: Grown-up longtime Super Troopers fans who mostly want to hang out with the gang one more time.
