Everyone has seen Logan. Everyone has seen him babysit Deadpool. These are the Jackman movies that earned more love than they got, and the numbers back it.

Number 1 has over a million fans, and I still say it's underrated.

  1. 8The Greatest Showman poster
Critics underrated it. The script earned some of that.
Metacritic 48, CinemaScore A, $472M worldwide. Audiences beat critics by a mile on this one, and the songs carry a plot thinner than a circus tent.
  2. 7X-Men poster
    X-Men (2000)7.4
The blueprint every superhero franchise copied, then forgot about.
Reported $75M budget, 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, $157M domestic. Small by today's standards, and still the reason Jackman spent 24 years in mutton chops.
  3. 6Les Misérables poster
Stop mocking it. Jackman holds the whole thing up.
7.5 movie.guru score, CinemaScore A, $442M worldwide. People remember Russell Crowe's singing choices and forget the lead was carrying a musical on his back.
  4. 5Song Sung Blue poster
    Song Sung Blue (2025)7.8
The best Jackman movie almost nobody actually saw.
Audiences rated it above 90% of movies and gave it an A CinemaScore. It has 33,824 IMDb votes. Critics shrugged with a 61 Metacritic. Go fix that.
  5. 4X2 poster
    X2 (2003)8.2
Still better than most superhero movies that outgrossed it.
8.2 movie.guru score, 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, $215M domestic. It lives in the shadow of louder X-Men sequels, and that is legit unfair.
  6. 3The Sheep Detectives poster
A sheep mystery tied his best X-Men movie. Respect it.
8.8 movie.guru score, same as Days of Future Past, plus 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Domestic gross: $66M against a reported $75M budget. The flock deserved better.
  7. 2Prisoners poster
    Prisoners (2013)7.6
His best performance, in a movie people only watch once.
B+ CinemaScore and just $61M domestic. Opening crowds flinched. IMDb voters came around later with an 8.2. Denis Villeneuve made it heavy on purpose.
  8. 1The Prestige poster
    The Prestige (2006)7.4
The Prestige is underrated. Yes, that one. Fight me.
8.5 on IMDb from 1.6 million votes, yet only $53M domestic and a 7.4 movie.guru score. The crowd says classic. The blend says above average. The blend is wrong.
Change my mind. Rank these from most to least underrated. Wrong answers will be screenshotted.

$583.77 says someone in the comments demands Logan on this list and completely misses the point.
