300 is slow-mo, shouting and abs. These eight bring the same last-stand energy, and a couple of them even bring a plot.
Number 1 is older than your grandparents' TV, and it still wins.

Creed is 300's training montage stretched into a whole movie.
Same gospel of abs, sweat and refusing to quit. Stallone hands off the torch, and audiences gave it an A CinemaScore. Fewer spears, more jabs, same chest-out energy.

Oldboy's hallway fight is the Hot Gates with worse lighting.
One guy versus a crowd in a space too narrow to swarm him. Made for a reported $3M, and it still looks more stylish than most blockbusters.
- 6
Crouching Tiger did painted-frame fighting before Snyder made it loud.
Same gravity-optional, every-shot-a-painting combat, just quieter. It made $128M domestic, which is nuts for a subtitled martial arts movie. Less shouting, more Michelle Yeoh being untouchable.

Godzilla Minus One is a last stand against a very large lizard.
Ragtag survivors, hopeless odds, sacrifice as the whole point. It hit 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. The human drama gets a little soap-opera, but the stand-against-the-impossible feeling is pure Thermopylae.
- 4
Top Gun: Maverick is 300 with jets and better dental insurance.
A tiny elite squad, a near-suicide mission, a grizzled leader training kids to survive it. $1.5B worldwide, A+ CinemaScore. The enemy has no face, same as Xerxes's masked army.

Dune: Part Two is the closest thing to 300 this decade.
Chanting armies, a desert full of true believers, a hero who might be the villain. $714.8M worldwide. It's colder than 300, but the scale is the same flavor.

RRR is what 300 would be with zero chill.
Slow-mo, impossible strength, two heroes flexing against an empire. 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. 300 thought kicking a guy down a well was extreme. RRR makes that look shy.

The best 300 follow-up is a black-and-white movie from 1954.
A small band of warriors, badly outnumbered, defending a village. The original last-stand blueprint. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, 98 Metacritic. Yes, it's long and subtitled. Watch it anyway.
Change my mind. Rank these from most to least Spartan.
$467.21 says somebody in the comments calls Seven Samurai boring and then admits they never finished it.
