Ranked by the movie.guru score, not vibes. Her biggest money maker is barely in the middle, and her best comedy is near the bottom.

Number one beats the runner-up by a tenth of a point. Fight me.

  1. 8Bird Box poster
    Bird Box (2018)4.8
Everyone watched it. Way fewer people actually liked it.
429,374 IMDb votes, but a 51 on Metacritic and a 4.8 on movie.guru. The blindfold gimmick did the heavy lifting. The script just held the door.
  2. 7Miss Congeniality poster
Underrated. Critics missed the joke, audiences didn't.
42% on Rotten Tomatoes, yet an A− CinemaScore and $212.8M worldwide. Bullock snorting through a pageant is peak comfort viewing. Guru's Take: 6.0, above the blend.
  3. 6Minions poster
    Minions (2015)5.0
Her biggest hit, and she's a cartoon villain in it.
$1.16 billion worldwide, the top gross here by a mile. Still only a 5.0 on movie.guru, and my Guru's Take is 4.4. Yellow gibberish has a ceiling.
  4. 5The Proposal poster
    The Proposal (2009)5.2
Greeting card plot, saved entirely by Bullock and Reynolds bickering.
45% on Rotten Tomatoes, but it beats 59% of movies with audiences and made $317.4M worldwide. The story is wallpaper. The chemistry is the whole house.
  5. 4The Blind Side poster
    The Blind Side (2009)7.4
Audiences adore it. It's way too tidy for its own good.
A+ CinemaScore and it beats 92% of movies with audiences. Critics stopped at a 53 Metacritic. My Guru's Take is 5.9: Bullock is great, the story is sanded smooth.
  6. 3Crash poster
    Crash (2004)7.7
Ranked high, aged poorly. Subtlety left the building early.
7.7 on movie.guru, $98.4M worldwide on a reported $6.5M budget. My Guru's Take is 5.4 because nearly every scene underlines its point, then underlines it again.
  7. 2Speed poster
    Speed (1994)8.5
The most rewatchable movie she's ever made. A bus, a bomb, zero fat.
95% on Rotten Tomatoes, $350.4M worldwide on a reported $30 to 37M budget. Bullock is billed third behind Keanu and Hopper and still steals the bus.
  8. 1Gravity poster
    Gravity (2013)8.6
Gravity beats Speed. Barely. Take it up with the 96 Metacritic.
8.6 on movie.guru, 908,388 IMDb votes, $739.4M worldwide. The dialogue is thinner than the air up there, and my Guru's Take ties it with Speed at 8.2.
Change my mind. Rank these from most to least rewatchable. Speed truthers, the floor is yours.

$1,652 says you type "Speed got robbed" in the comments before you finish reading #1.
