You've seen Snatch nine times. Fine. Here are eight movies with the same crooked grin, ranked by how close they get to the real thing.

The last one isn't just like Snatch. It's better, and I'll argue it.

  1. 8Kiss Kiss Bang Bang poster
Downey and Kilmer bicker better than most heist crews.
Same chatty crime comedy, same losers in way over their heads. It made just $15.8M worldwide on a reported $15M budget, which is its own little crime.
  2. 7The Wolf of Wall Street poster
Snatch with a stockbroker haircut and a much bigger budget.
Same fast-talking crooks, same feeling that everyone deserves to lose. $407M worldwide on a reported $100M. The back half drags, but 1.8 million IMDb voters keep coming back.
  3. 6The Big Lebowski poster
Snatch if every gangster took the day off to bowl.
Same idiots stumbling through a crime plot they don't understand. Critics put it ahead of 72% of movies, audiences 98%. The plot barely matters, and that's the point.
  4. 5The Sting poster
    The Sting (1973)9.5
The original con movie. Ritchie's crews are its grandkids.
Same layered swindle, same joy of watching the mark get played. $156M domestic on a reported $5.5M in 1973, and a 9.5 movie.guru score. It's slower than Snatch, though.
  5. 4In Bruges poster
    In Bruges (2008)8.5
The hitman comedy Snatch would be if it had feelings.
Same dark crime laughs, same criminals with terrible plans. Only $7.8M domestic, yet my Guru's Take is 8.8. It gets heavy fast, so don't expect a romp.
  6. 3Knives Out poster
    Knives Out (2019)9.4
Swap gangsters for rich liars and it's the same game.
Same giant ensemble, same twisty plot where everybody's hiding something. $312.9M worldwide and a 9.4 movie.guru score. Less punching, more sweaters, and Chris Evans is legit a menace.
  7. 2The Gentlemen poster
    The Gentlemen (2019)7.4
Ritchie remakes his own greatest hits and mostly gets away with it.
Same director, same rapid-fire crooks. Metacritic gave it a 51, but audiences beat 89% of movies, and $126.2M worldwide on a reported $22M says the crowd was right.
  8. 1Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels poster
Better than Snatch. Cheaper, grimier, funnier. Fight me.
Same director, same Statham, same card-game chaos. Made on a reported $1.4M and holding an 8.1 on IMDb from 656,000 voters. Snatch is the remix. This is the original track.
Change my mind. Rank these from most to least Snatch. Wrong answers only.

$1,061 says at least one of you types 'nothing beats Snatch' without ever having watched number one.
