Everyone knows Ruffalo as the guy who turns green. The first six movies here grossed less, combined, than Infinity War's $2.05B alone.

Number one made over a billion dollars, and somehow we're the only ones defending it.

  1. 8Collateral poster
    Collateral (2004)7.3
Michael Mann's sharpest thriller, and nobody remembers Ruffalo's in it.
Fourth billed behind Cruise, Foxx and Pinkett Smith. movie.guru score 7.3, Guru's Take 8.3. That's a full point of disrespect for Mann's best night drive.
  2. 7Crime 101 poster
    Crime 101 (2026)6.5
The best grown-up heist movie nobody bought a ticket for.
88% on Rotten Tomatoes, then $72.9M worldwide against a reported $90M budget. Hemsworth, Ruffalo and Keoghan in one crime movie should not be a hard sell.
  3. 6Poor Things poster
    Poor Things (2023)8.5
Ruffalo's funniest work, and half his fans never saw it.
Metacritic 88, but only $34.6M domestic. Emma Stone gets the headlines. Ruffalo gets the biggest laughs, and nobody saw that coming.
  4. 5Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind poster
A flop on paper that became everyone's breakup movie.
$34.4M domestic on a reported $20M budget. Then 1.2 million IMDb votes piled in. Ruffalo's the supporting player people forget, in a movie about forgetting.
  5. 4Zodiac poster
    Zodiac (2007)7.3
Fincher's best movie, and its 7.3 is the real mystery.
Guru's Take 8.9. Only $33.1M domestic, plus a B minus CinemaScore from people who wanted a chase movie and got paperwork. The paperwork is the point.
  6. 3Spotlight poster
    Spotlight (2015)9.6
Ruffalo's best performance, seen by a fraction of Avengers fans.
9.6 movie.guru score, beating 98% of movies with critics and audiences alike. $45.1M domestic. Infinity War made 15 times that. Watch it this week.
  7. 2Avengers: Infinity War poster
The rare $2 billion movie that critics still lowballed.
Metacritic 68 next to an IMDb 8.4 and an A CinemaScore. $2.05B worldwide. Critics graded the homework. Audiences graded the ride.
  8. 1Avengers: Age of Ultron poster
Age of Ultron is better than its reputation. Fight me.
A CinemaScore, beat 83% of movies with audiences, $1.41B worldwide. Our own Guru's Take is 5.8, so yes, I'm fighting myself on this one too.
Change my mind. Rank these from most to least underrated, then tell us which Ruffalo movie we forgot.

$247.61 says you comment 'Zodiac at number four is a crime' before you even reach number one.
