Her worst list has two Harry Potters and Fight Club on it. Most careers would frame that. Here's her bottom eight by movie.guru score, counted down.

Number one is her lowest score, and maybe her best hidden performance.

  1. 8Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 poster
Her worst list opens with a billion-dollar camping trip.
A 7.7 movie.guru score and $1.06 billion worldwide. My Guru's Take is 6.3 because the trio spends way too long sulking in a tent.
  2. 7Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix poster
Bellatrix arrives perfectly. The movie just doesn't use her enough.
Critics and fans agree at 7.4, and it made $939 million worldwide. Her Bellatrix walks in fully formed and the script barely lets her play.
  3. 6Fight Club poster
    Fight Club (1999)7.0
Fight Club on a bottom list is the real plot twist.
IMDb has it at 8.8 on 2.67 million votes. The blended score lands at 7.0. My Guru's Take is 8.4. Her Marla is the best work here.
  4. 5Enola Holmes poster
    Enola Holmes (2020)6.7
Critics loved this way more than the couches watching it.
91% on Rotten Tomatoes, but audiences beat only 56% of movies. She plays Mom, and the movie gets better every time she's in the room.
  5. 4Charlie and the Chocolate Factory poster
She plays the most normal person in a Burton movie. Respect.
$475 million worldwide on a reported $150M budget. Guru's Take is 5.6 because the candy looks incredible and Wonka looks like he lost a bet.
  6. 3Alice in Wonderland poster
The giant-head Red Queen is the only reason to rewatch.
$1.03 billion worldwide and still a 4.7 movie.guru score. Rotten Tomatoes says 51%. She yells, the CGI soup around her just sits there.
  7. 2Dark Shadows poster
    Dark Shadows (2012)3.5
Burton plus Depp plus vampires, and nobody wanted the leftovers.
$79.7 million domestic on a reported $150M budget. A 3.5 movie.guru score, and audiences beat just 23% of movies. Michelle Pfeiffer deserved a better haunted house.
  8. 1Planet of the Apes poster
Her lowest-scoring movie has one of her best performances. Fight me.
A 3.1 movie.guru score, and audiences beat only 13% of movies. Still made $362 million worldwide. She acted through a full ape face and outclassed Mark Wahlberg doing it.
Change my mind. Rank these from most to least underrated. Wrong answers only.

$743 says the first comment is someone furious that Fight Club landed on a bottom list.
