Ranked by movie.guru score, not by how good he looks in a cape. Three Guy Ritchie movies, two Justice Leagues, one very humbling number one.

His best movie technically stars somebody else. Scroll down and start typing.

  1. 8Justice League poster
    Justice League (2017)4.2
A reported $300M budget and it plays like a rough draft.
39% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 4.2 movie.guru score. Cavill gets top billing energy in a movie that feels assembled in a parking lot. Guru's Take: 3.6.
  2. 7In the Grey poster
    In the Grey (2026)4.7
Guy Ritchie plus Gyllenhaal should never gross $5.7 million.
Reported $70M budget, $5.7M domestic. A 53 on Metacritic and a B CinemaScore. Nobody hated it. Nobody showed up either. That's worse.
  3. 6The Man from U.N.C.L.E. poster
The most stylish Cavill movie, and the score undersells it.
Only a 5.7 on movie.guru, but IMDb sits at 7.2 and the Guru's Take is 6.6. It made $45.4M domestic. Those sixties suits deserved a sequel.
  4. 5Man of Steel poster
    Man of Steel (2013)6.2
Crowds loved it. The Guru's Take is not convinced.
A− CinemaScore, $670M worldwide, 879,613 IMDb votes. Critics gave it 56% on Rotten Tomatoes and the Guru's Take is 5.1. Huge punches, not much warmth.
  5. 4The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare poster
Cavill having the most fun he's ever had on camera.
A− CinemaScore and audiences rated it above 73% of movies. Then it made $20.5M domestic on a reported $60M budget. Everybody loved it from the couch, apparently.
  6. 3Enola Holmes poster
    Enola Holmes (2020)6.7
Critics' second favorite here, and he's not even the lead.
91% on Rotten Tomatoes. Millie Bobby Brown carries the whole thing, Cavill plays the big brother, and he still walks off with scenes. Guru's Take: 6.4.
  7. 2Zack Snyder's Justice League poster
Same story, redone, and the score nearly doubled.
7.9 movie.guru score versus 4.2 for the 2017 cut. Audiences beat 96% of movies. Critics stayed lukewarm at 54 on Metacritic, and the Guru's Take is a calmer 6.4.
  8. 1Mission: Impossible – Fallout poster
His best movie belongs to Tom Cruise. Deal with it.
9.1 movie.guru score, 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, $824M worldwide. Cavill is billed second in somebody else's franchise, and it's still the best thing on his resume.
Change my mind. Rank these from most to least Superman. Wrong answers only.

$638.27 says the first comment is someone insisting Man of Steel belongs at number one.
